Welcome to the Mah Jongg Social Club!

 

Mah Jongg is about friendship and community and we are building that community in NEPA. We invite you to join us for fun and friendship as we encourage new and more “seasoned” players to join us in the social side of the game. 

 

There are several ways to participate:

 

Open Play- these events are designed to welcome new faces in a less competitive setting. It is our hope that new players will feel welcomed and mentored so that we can build our community. Of course, we will have prizes and snacks, and we also hope that our more seasoned players will seize the opportunity to mentor our newer friends. We all know that playing with better players makes you better, and this is your chance to improve.

 

Lessons- we will provide beginner’s lessons at Open Play events. We can also come to you and your group, just send us an email request and we will schedule a class. These classes are designed to get you playing with confidence.  You will learn:

• The tiles

• How to read the card

• NMJL rules

• Game play and a little strategy

 

Tournaments- Designed for the competent player who like a little competition. We play five, fifty-five minute rounds with prizes and fun for all. We play NMJL rules with common tournament guidelines. 

 

It’s all about “Girl Power”, Ladies…women supporting women through a game that we all love.
